Whew thanks for the comprehensive run down! I can't believe (OK, I can) that public servants don't want to make it easier for the public to comment. That is very telling.
Hi, Ruth. If you are a customer of one or both Berea Utilities, you will be getting some kind of digital meter, which I guess means they are smart. It's a good question that I can ask City Hall. Thanks for reading!
Also re: dance mom on N. Broadway and need for more lighting - I am confused. Aren't headlights the means by which drivers see in the dark? Maybe I'm reading this wrong.
Uh-oh. that sounds like bad reporting. No -- it was not the headlamps at fault. I might need to correct that. The person who got into the accident couldn't see when she was reversing because it was so dark.

“upcoming water and electric meter change-out program”
Does that mean Smart Meters on our homes?

Ask them too if there is an opt-out please. Smart Meters are health hazards.

But still, we can't light up the night for that reason. And taillights also illuminate.
Funny you should bring that up. I have a story I am working on about preserving dark skies. I hope to have it ready in the next couple of weeks.
