The story behind the story of Berea City Council’s proposed nudity + booze ban
We do live in interesting times. Here we have elected officials who represent an electorate that largely voted for a president who, just before being re-elected, simulated fellatio on a microphone in front of a large audience—an act that would be illegal in Berea should this ordinance pass, were he to show off his skills in a local liscensed establishment.
Although it is not difficult to find merit in a lucid and transparent public discussion of the potential perils of alcohol + nudity in public spaces, that is not what this special work session actually was.
