New City Council officially underway
Swearing-in ceremony kicks off two-year term
BEREA — Recently elected City Council members pledged to uphold their duties as members of the City’s governing body at a swearing-in ceremony earlier this week.
On Monday, December 30, two newly elected councilmembers and six incumbents were sworn-in to office by the Honorable Kristin Clouse, circuit court judge for Madison and Clark counties.
Returning to City Hall are: Steve Caudill, Teresa Scenters, Cora Jane Wilson, Jerry Little, Ronnie Terrill, and Katie Startzman.
New to City Hall are John Payne and Steve Davis. Payne previously served on Council between 2020 and 2022.
Council members are elected in Berea for two-year terms.
The first regularly scheduled Council meeting of 2025 will be Tuesday, January 7, at 6:30PM, in the City Annex Building, 304 Chestnut Street. Among the items listed on the agenda is a proclamation of January being “roller skating month” in Berea.
